White Bean Stew

4-6 people


  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 5 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 2 cans of white bean Cedar
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
  • Salt
  • Optional: 300 g beef cubes


  1. In a sauceoan, preheat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 5-7 minutes until the onions lose their bright color. Add the garlic, cook for 1 minute. if desired you can add the beef cubes and cook the meat until browned
  2. Wash the beans and add them to the mixture of onions and garlic.
  3. Add 1 glass of water, salt and tomato paste.
  4. Mix and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Savor with pita bread or rice.
