Stuffed peppers

  • 4 peppers
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 3 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 200 g of brown rice
  • 200 g of minced meat
  • 150 g of tomato sauce
  • 30 g of grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp of oregano
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C (350F).
  2. Cut the top side of the peppers, then remove the filaments and seeds.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the oil and add the chopped onion.
  4. Add the meat and cook for about 5 to 8 minutes. Then add the tomato sauce, salt, cinnamon, paprika, cayenne pepper and pepper. Mix well and continue cooking for about 15 minutes.
  5. Add the rice to boiling salted water and let it cook for 15 minutes. Drain it, add it to the pan with the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  6. Fill the peppers with the rice and meat preparation. Then top with the Parmesan and Oregano.
  7. Cook the stuffed peppers for 15 minutes in the oven.
